Sprecher’s Inaugural Root Beer Bash

Sprecher Brewery is holding its first ever Root Beer Bash in Glendale this Saturday, August 26. The family-friendly event will take place at Richard E. Maslowski Community Park, with an assortment of root beer-themed drinks and snacks.

The Root Beer Bash begins at 9:30 a.m. with a run/walk benefiting the Glendale Police Department’s bullet-resistant vest fund, crime prevention and K-9 units. It’s not too late to sign up! You can register online  through Friday, August 25, or in person beginning at 8 a.m. the morning of the event.

A Root Beer Olympics competition will take place shortly after. If you haven’t registered yet, you can do so in person at the park beginning at 10:00 Saturday morning. The competition offers individual events divided into age groups, as well as team events. Sprecher will donate all proceeds from the Olympic games to the St. Francis Children’s Center for kids with special needs.

8:00 – Run/Walk registration
8:00 – Silent auction begins (closes at noon)
8:00 – DJ Covelli performs
9:30 – Run/Walk begins (5K run or two mile walk)
10:00 – Food and activity booths open (see vendors here)
10:00 – Root Beer Olympics registration opens
11:00 – Root Beer Olympics begin
1:00 – Blue Light Scene performs
5:30 – Mount Olive performs
