Last weekend, I admitted I made a slight mistake by placing mint in the same herb container as my basil, cilantro and lavender. The mint is definitely doing its best to takeover the rest of the plants, but I’m trying to rein it in… with some delicious results along the way.
During the week, I try my best to make my own iced coffee or iced tea each morning. I used to stick to the basics with my iced tea, but when I told my Nonni about all the mint I was trying to use, she suggested muddling it in the iced tea. It was a fantastic suggestion. The tea tastes so refreshing, and adding a little honey makes it a bit sweeter as well.
I’d definitely recommend giving this a shot before heading out to work!

Iced Tea with Mint and Honey
A refreshing way to kick off the morning.
- 1 cup water
- 1 green tea bag
- 2 leaves mint
- 1 tsp honey
Bring water to a boil and then remove from heat.
Pour water into a heatproof cup. Add mint, honey and green tea bag.. Steep for 5-10 minutes.
Remove green tea and mint. Pour over ice and enjoy!
